Heating-up coke oven battery in India

The process of heating the coke oven battery No.1 (stamp charging, coke oven chamber width – 510 mm, oven height - 5.5 m, under-jet type of heating by mixed Coke & BF gases) of Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd. (India) was started on 6 September, 2016 by OKOS’s Specialists. The battery with through-hole sole channels utilizing combustion products into waste heat flue from of coke side.
Heating of coke oven battery is performed with LPG gas (propane-butane) through coke oven doors using burners, originally designed by OKOS.
As on 17 Oct., 2016 the temperature achieved in control verticals of the battery is 243 Celsius degrees.
